Welcome to Northwest Indiana's Superstar, the heart, and soul of singing talent in the region. Since our inception in 2021, we have cultivated a platform that blends community spirit, passionate singing, and charitable goodwill into a spectacular showcase of local talent.
In a post-pandemic world, Navy Veteran Robert Head and local venue supplier George Adkins conceived an idea to rekindle the community's spirit through music while supporting the noble cause of local veteran organizations. What started as a humble karaoke competition swiftly evolved into a musical phenomenon, garnering support from local venues.
Over the years, the competition has transformed from a showcase for individual singers into a musical family working in harmony to achieve something greater. Our stage has seen extraordinary talent, from Anthony Key's "Golden Shoes" stirring iconic excitement to the unforgettable tiebreaker between James Neary and Bob Ross in 2022.
Our mission is simple yet profound: Bring people together through music! We aim to inspire, unite, give hope, and promote camaraderie within the community by giving aspiring singers a platform to shine. Our competition not only aids in recovering from the pandemic’s societal pause but also directly supports vital community organizations like the Wounded Warriors Project and the Boys and Girls Club.
Our selection process is meticulous, ensuring that the voices that grace our stage are well-deserving of the spotlight. Contestants are selected based on their vocal technique, vocal ability, song delivery, stage presence, and entertainment value. Our unique voting system empowers our audience to have a say, allowing them to save talented singers they believe deserve a second chance.
